The release of Beyoncé’s new athleisure collection, Ivy Park, has been more anticipated than spring itself! A collaboration with TopShop, Ivy Park is the namesake of Beyoncé’s first born daughter, Blue Ivy. Each sultry piece is a cross between functionality and sex appeal. Though many of the pieces were designed with the low impact activities of dance and yoga in mind, versatility is an understatement when describing this collection. One can easily mix and match every piece to have an endless variety of knockout, athleisure ensembles. Bey put a ton of thought into this collection, creating multi-functional pieces, many of which double as swimwear. She was also thorough enough to include everything from hats and crop tops, to full bodysuits, jackets and more. Here, I run down a list of my favorite options from this must-have athleisure line. Be sure to shop as you read, as some of these items are already selling out!
I’m so glad that Bey was thoughtful enough to include head gear in her collection.
Up your street style game with this little gem. It’s sold out now, but what goes out must come back in. 🙂
Bey made sure we can all recreate her “Feeling Myself” Chicago Bulls ensemble with this basketball-inspired bodysuit.
It’s so nice that Bey included multiple bodysuit options. I’ve been waiting to see that from other brands for a while now; it’s proof that Beyonce knows how to fulfill needs. 😉
Athleisure crop top? Yes please!
I love the thumb openings in this jacket. Nice attention to detail, Bey!
Athleisure meets sex appeal with this mesh cutout bodysuit. This piece doubles as swimwear for an added bonus!
Yay, more crop tops!
Look completely snatched with the body conscious, color blocking in this bodysuit that also doubles as swimwear.
This piece is so versatile. It’s a crop with sexy mesh sleeves that doubles as swimwear. Bey was really mindful of creating multi use garments. Smart gal!
I’m pleased Bey stuck with neutral colors for the most part. You can effortlessly blend her athleisure pieces with your existing wardrobe.
Now for the bottoms!
Bey has made a great variety of waist styles that include low or “I”, mid or “V”, and high-rise or “Y” options . Every body is different and apparently Bey gets that. As a recent mother of two under two I’m very excited to see high waist styles in particular!
High waist capris? I’ll take that!
I’ll be honest. I’m a tad obsessed with the high waist bottom paired with a crop top look. It’s so universally flattering. These “Y” legging have a high waist that sits just above the navel. Paired with that crop top with the mesh sleeves, you can slaaay hunty. Thoughtful Beyonce strikes again by including an inbuilt brief to eliminate the gross, see through behinds some of these girls are walking around with. Ladies, if you can see through them then they aren’t stand alone pants. They are stockings. Put a dress over them and call it what it is. That’s my PSA for the day.
Bursts of color were definitely included in the collection. These bonded V waist leggings are my fave.
This is my fave mid rise option. I love the logo at the ankle.
This mid-rise dance pant is hot, Hot, HOT and doubles as swimwear.
These low-rise leggings are for all my lean ladies who can say “What muffin top”?
These high-rise, biker leggings feature a turn-down waist band that reveals the Ivy Park logo. Points for versatility.
Major points for creating full bodysuits. Leave it to Bey to give us something we didn’t even know we needed! This piece also doubles as swimwear.
I think this strappy little number is so sexy. Layer an off-the-shoulder, over-sized sweater on top and you’ve got a super flirty, yet active ensemble.
What I love most about this line is how much care Bey took to ensure the styles in this line were universally flattering and designed to streamline a woman’s figure. Also, the line includes items from headbands to shoes, so you can rock Ivy Park athleisure from head to toe. What’s most impressive, however, is how affordable this line is! With options as low as $14.00, one can make several guilt-free purchases. Overall, I think Beyoncé did a fabulous job. This athleisure collection reminded me of why I have always liked Bey in the first place; she is thoughtful enough to make creations with the needs of the consumer in mind. When she puts out a product, the love she has for her fans pours through and is easily felt. It’s the very reason she’s “been the number one diva in this game for a minute”, and the very reason we all love her. Thanks Bey!
The COW (cause of the week) we’re featuring is the birthday party project. Today’s fun fact:
You can share your birthday! Instead of asking for presents you can request your guests donate birthday presents to homeless children instead or in addition to your own. That is such a compassionate and caring idea. I am for sure planning to do this for my youngest daughter’s first birthday. Even better, the birthday party project will provide you with all the tools necessary to have a successful fundraiser, including your own website! Visit the birthday party project HERE to learn more.
What are your favorite Ivy Park pieces? Be sure to rock them and share your pics in the comment section!
Birthday coming up? Would you consider sharing your birthday? Let me know. I love to hear from you!
